This morning I participated in the Lymphoma Research Society's annual Lymphomathon in Seattle. I think it would be appropriate to say my Sunday Confession is... I REALLY HATE CANCER.
My Father in-law passed away in October of 2010 from this horrible disease and it has effected my life immensely. For the past five years we have participated in this walk - which fundraises money towards finding a cure for Lymphomic cancer. Today was a day of remembrance, sadness, hope and celebration - I pray so hard that in my lifetime there is a cure.
The Chain of Hope
So sorry to hear of your loss, but I think it's wonderful that you guys do that walk every year in his honor. Found you through the Sunday Confessions link up, thanks for sharing! -Mia
ReplyDeleteSorry for your loss, but I have to agree with Mia - I think it's great that you remember him in such a positive way that can help to change others' lives.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up!
I am so sorry for your lost! It is a great idea to do that walk every year! I lost my Mom so I know how hard this is.
DeleteCancer really sucks. I posted about it a while back, and saw that it is also something that strangely brings people together. So awesome that you chose to honor his memory in things like this.
